TOUR POSTPONED
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - TUESDAY 17th MAY 2005
The Frontier Touring Company, promoter of Kylie’s upcoming Showgirl Tour today confirmed that Kylie’s tour has been postponed due to health reasons.
The following statement was issued by Kylie’s management:
Whilst at home in Melbourne with her family this week prior to her Australian Showgirl Tour, Kylie was diagnosed with early breast cancer. She will undergo immediate treatment and consequently her Australian tour will not be able to proceed as planned.
Kylie said today “I was so looking forward to bringing the Showgirl tour to Australian audiences, and am sorry to have to disappoint my fans. Nevertheless hopefully all will work out fine and I’ll be back with you all again soon.”
Kylie’s Showgirl Tour was scheduled to tour Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth over the next month. Patrons should hang onto their tickets pending the announcement of new Showgirl dates.
Michael Gudinski and The Frontier Touring Company wish Kylie the speediest of recoveries.

Hey Han Span, you told me this site wasn't that regularly updated - but you sure have your finger on the pulse of breaking news with this Kylie story. Shocking stuff. x
My Friend's Mgram revealed a 2mm lump unable to be felt with fingers. surgery. radiotherapy (like being toasted, and very Exhausting), and then Tamoxifen with side effects of hot flushes and weight gain. Touring not possible.
Ms Minogue Will Survive this, and maybe it will be good for her to have some grounding family time, and be away from all those revolving door boyfriends (or that ONE revolving-door boyfriend). STRESS triggers cancer every time.
Now, girls: how many times have we read that BC is exacerbated by eating fatty foods or being overweight? Our baby budgie did none of that.

Here you are! El prima got the news a good half hour before any of the official news sites reached it because of where she works.
Thanks for coming to visit - you have to come see the new house soon! it is full of boxes at the mo, but it feels like home already!!
Brownie - Hope your friend is alright - that sounds awful. Of course, approx 30 other Australian women were diagnosed with breast cancer on the same day as Kylie and deserve just as much love and best wishes and the best possible medical treatment available as she does. I hope Kylie, and all other women fighting it, survive. I was talking to a good friend who has had lots of women in her family face BC, and her comment was, that all the ones who got it before 40 beat it the first time, but then it comes back in about 5 years and kills them then... I hope that won't be the case.
and thanks for the tag - I'm on to it, but have just uprooted my entire life to move in with el prima and her kids, so things are a bit hectic (and SUBLIME!) at the mo. (and all my books are still packed :( ) But yes - I have a host of swedish books to go on about!
